Management System, Processes and Products Audit to Suppliers in China

When the customer is planning to start supply from a new supplier and/or when it requires to periodically verify the compliance to the agreed standards, ICT engineers can perform the audit and verification on their behalf, as for specific customer instructions and according to a defined template. Typically, audits will include at least the following points:

• Verification of company business license and authorizations and of capability to really produce what has been demanded by customer;
• Check of quality management system (all processes) and its compliance to applicable standards (e.g. IATF 16949);
• Review of current technical performance and available company know-how;
• Verification of proper infrastructure and assets to supply as for customer’s requirements;
• Evaluation of production capacity and flexibility;
• Costs concerns and trend monitoring;
• Environmental, safety and health concerns by customer and regulations;
• New business development plans, as for supplier’s top management.

With respect to products auditing, ICT engineers can perform the same in 4 different times, as for customer instructions: pre-production, during production, before shipment from factory and at the time of vessel loading.

After audit on the field, ICT shall release a detailed audit report that will include all the weaknesses and strengths found, the deviations and the suggested countermeasures to be taken with supplier.
