ICT, in collaboration with Bearing Talk, is pleased to present training courses to develop and simplify the execution of industrial processes, as well as streamline production in the bearing industry.
Below is a list of courses, all of which will be held in English, Italian and Chinese. Details on dates and times will be announced later.
1.Principles of Lean Thinking in bearings industry – (English – Italian)
Aim of the course is to provide the basic understandings about concepts of value and waste. At the same time, by practical examples the attendants will learn how to recognize the wastes in their daily operations and how to attack them using some of the most powerful tools of “Lean Thinking”. Special focus will be given to the implementation of pull system, kanban and 5S, besides to the explanation of “kaizen” as powerful tool for continuous improvement for any company process.
2.Re-engineering of materials flow to minimize time to market and WIP – (English – Italian)
To provide conceptual tools to design the transformation of traditional departmental organizations into streamlined flow is the objective of the courses. Real cases of company transformations will be analysed and methods to estimate the expected new through-put times, work in process and benefits on inventories reduction will also be covered.
3.Manufacturing costing accounting principles for product family/channel – (English – Italian)
Accounting by products line principles will be explained during the course as important instrument to measure the continuous improvements in organizations with streamlined production flows and to support sales team to quote finished products also considering the real operational costs. Comparison analysis with traditional accounting by MRP will be done, with highlight of differences between the two approaches.
4.SMED – Single Minute Exchange Dies – (English – Italian)
SMED is a Lean Tool to minimize the change over and/or set-up times in any type of process. The techniques to implement SMED in real cases will be explained and the benefits – in terms of higher manufacturing flexibility and lower service lead-times to the market – will be shown.
5.Lean assessment and gap analysis – (English – Italian)
The course is a real assessment of all processes of manufacturing plant, including comparison of them with international benchmark and with lean practices. The final output is a list of gaps between the current situations and the ideal ones: each one of such gaps will be analysed and the relative missing lean principles will be explained to the attendants also with real examples of best practises. The gap analysis will be concluded with a report (that will be distributed within few weeks after the course end) that will include the proposed actions to be taken by the factory in order to cover the found gaps: such actions will be organized in short, medium and long-term perspectives.
6.Abrasives for grinding and lapping processes – (English – Italian)
The principles of grinding and lapping processes will be explained, together with the fundamentals of abrasive types and specifications. At the end of course, the attendants will be able to recognize the main features of each grinding and lapping abrasive. A section of the course will also be dedicated to the dressing diamond tools.
7.Optimization of high speed cold pressing from steel wire for bearing components production – (English – Italian)
Aim of the course is to provide the technical principal of cold pressing of bearing components from steel wire. The main features of high speed cold headers mechanics will be analysed, together with the ideal characteristics of both drawing, cutting and pressing tooling. Based on the availability at the customer location, it will be possible also to include a practical section on how to correctly run and set-up or change-over a steel ball or roller cold header.
8.Quality Management Systems – APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC – (English – Chinese)
During the course all the instruments of new product and process approval will be explained, with real cases examples. The course is dedicated to quality assurance managers and technicians that have already a basic understanding of quality management systems and that require deep understanding of the quality tools mentioned in the title.
9.International teams management and motivation – (English – Italian)
To integrate multi-cultural teams from all over the world is a difficult task. The course will explain by real examples the cultural differences that may affect the effectiveness of working within international teams and will help to highlight the specific ones present within the group of attendants. Continuous interaction among the teacher and the team members will help to recognize such “soft issues” and to find a solution for them.
